City of Jackson Employment Application


Public Works Superintendent
Public Works Superintendent: The City of Jackson is seeking applications for the Public Works Superintendent position.  It is a highly responsible position supervising a team of personnel and overseeing a variety of functions and projects.  This is a full-time position, pay ranges from $5,462 to $6,645 per month with excellent benefits, including medical, state retirement plan and social security.  Job description and application form are available at www.ci.jackson.ca.us and at City Hall located at 33 Broadway, Jackson, CA 95642.  Position Open until filled. WasteWater Treatment Plant Operator I/II
(Salary - Operator I $2,581/month to $3,209/month; Operator II $3,312/month to $4,118/month; plus, generous benefits)

Commission/Committee Application

City of Jackson Planning Commission - Notice of Vacancy

The City of Jackson is accepting applications for two (2) available positions on the Jackson Planning Commission for remainder of the existing term through June 2021, with possible re-appointment by the City Council to serve an additional two-year term.  Desirable candidates will be able to dedicate time to monthly meetings.  Knowledge of planning and development related matters are desirable, but not mandatory.  Applicants must reside within the City of Jackson.

In addition to considering routine land use applications, Planning Commission duties in the next two years will involve working on the City’s General Plan update and implementing the City’s development standards.

The Jackson Planning Commission meets on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Additional meetings may be necessary to accommodate project applications or policy updates.

City of Jackson Cemetery Committee - Notice of Vacancy

The City of Jackson is accepting applications for two (2) positions on the Jackson Cemetery Committee for remainder of existing term to June 2021 with possible re-appointment by City Council to serve an additional two-year term.  Applicants must reside within the City of Jackson.  Desirable candidates will be able to dedicate time to monthly meetings.  Knowledge of city cemetery is desirable, but not mandatory. 

 The Jackson Cemetery Committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. The Cemetery Committee considers matters related to preserve and proper use of the historical city cemetery.
