1. Police Officer (Lateral or Academy Graduate) Salary Range $4,500 to $5,742 per month with generous benefits for employee and dependents (Click on the job title for more details). Including Retirement: P.E.R.S. Safety Program 3% at 50 for those that qualify, and 2.7% at 57 for all others.

Under the general direction of the City Manager, to plan, direct, supervise and coordinate the operations of the Fire Department in preventing and extinguishing fires, delivering emergency medical services, performing rescues, mitigating hazardous materials emergencies, and in protecting life and property: Performs difficult and responsible administrative work in connection with carrying out City and departmental goals, objectives and priorities; and performs other duties and required.

Commission / Committee Opportunities
Jackson Council appoints the Planning Commission and other standing committees including the Cemetery Committee, the Design Review Committee, the Economic Development Committee, the Advisory Committee and ad hoc committees. CEMETERY COMMITTEE VACANCY
This volunteer commitment includes attending a monthly meeting every second Wednesday of the month at 10AM at City Hall and availability to assist with occasional other volunteer duties and/or coordination of events. Knowledge of cemetery matters is desirable, but not mandatory. You must reside within AMADOR COUNTY and will be appointed by City Council to serve a two year term on the committee. The Cemetery Committee advises and recommends policy for maintenance and operation of improvements to the Jackson Cemetery to the City Council. This position is open until filled.
